Position Description:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversees all functions of the Analysts for Credit Quality

  • Manages and reviews all agency requirements for all updates to the Quality Control Plan

  • Is responsible for creating and enforcing all Processes and Procedures within the QC Analyst area

  • Reviews all required reporting with recommendations and is responsible for all distribution of reports to Senior and Executive Management on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Maintains Analysts work schedules including timesheets, assignments, job rotation, vacations and PTO.

  • Completes performance reviews and development processes.

  • Manager should communicate regularly and provides constant updates and reporting to Sr Director of Credit Quality including but not limited to all areas of work being performed by Quality Control group, i.e.…weekly reporting on workflow, staffing, key milestone grid, etc…

  • Maintains Management training and coaching and is the primary resource for making sure that all training takes place with all QC Analyst staff with support of Managers

  • Hires, trains, and manages new analysts in accordance with company and industry standards.

  • Oversees all Supervisors and Team Leads due diligence process from beginning to end to make sure all functions of department are carried out by staff.

  • Manages workload via Team Leads to make sure quality control is maintaining established service levels and all agency requirements.

  • Manages and oversees quality reviews performed on staff to evaluate their job performance.

    Other Related Duties:

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job requires managing 8-10 direct reports. Ultimately responsible for all Quality Control staff indirectly


  • Master’s Degree or equivalent; and/or twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include a minimum of 10-12 years of processing, underwriting, and/or quality control experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to provide vision and inspiration to peers and others.

  • Full understanding of all Product Types (FHA, VA, Conventional & USDA)

  • Familiar with a variety of mortgage banking concepts, practices and procedures. Working knowledge of compliance regulations.

  • Ability to work in a team environment recognizes and acts on changing priorities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills

  • Prioritization skills.

  • Performance Management experience.
