Boyd Corporation Production Scheduler - Temporary in Elkhart, Indiana

This is a temporary 6 month role.

Position Summary: Support shop floor production activities. Gather system data to generate production schedule based on material requirements. Analyze and update system minimum requirements to maintain appropriate stock levels. Generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports. Perform daily cycle counts. Analyze, and resolve work order variances

Essential Job Functions: 1. Review Material requirement report to determine production schedule…must plan to maximize utilization, efficiency and minimize scrap 2. Update and distribute Excel-based production schedule…must be accurate and include plan starts 3. Create and print accurate Work Orders Travelers for scheduled production. 4. Calculates material usage for production reporting from Work Order Traveler. 5. Print PPA reports. (Work Order Heijunka Board Folders) 6. Perform daily inventory cycle count, identify root cause, pareto issues and propose solutions 7. Assure work orders are closed in an accurate manner with variances resolved and pareto of issues identified 8. Identify monthly potential obsolete items for all warehouses & work with production/sales to rework, sell or scrap as necessary

Essential Job Requirements:

EDUCATION: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years manufacturing experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong communication skills - written and verbal; ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Experience with MS Office platforms (Excel, Word, etc.) Experience with ERP System using planning, work orders and inventory management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standard plant work environment, involves lifting moderately heavy items (over 25 and up to 50 pounds), and periods of standing and routine ladder climbing in warehouse.
