Aerotek Electrical Engineering Technician in Elkhart, Indiana
Contract Electrical Engineering Technician to support their corporate engineering team. This individual's role will be multi-faceted and tied to several different projects throughout the duration of the contract.
Plant Support - Looking for a candidate who can answer the "how to" questions from local manufacturing and manufacturing sites across the country as it relates to the truck caps. Although this person is not expected to be a product expert right away, they will need to learn the product quickly and collaborate with the existing engineering team to answer any questions that are pressing relating to product.
New Product Development/Electronics Testing - Need somebody to support the new product development initiatives for truck caps that are not yet in production. Example: This individual will be responsible for hooking up test equipment to ensure electronics are functioning correctly properly and also determining new electronic components such as switches, lights, and backup cameras to be used in new products.
Customer Support - This individual will also need to be able to understand drawings, create markups, and "talk the talk" with customers and internal employees who may have questions about prints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of Associate's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (can be in automation/robotics, automotive technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, etc.)
Knowledge of AutoCAD to create markups to existing engineering drawings
Ability & desire to be hands on and wire up various electrical wire harnesses and electronic components
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to enter data and Microsoft Word to submit engineering reports
Ability/desire to be hands-on and the ability to lift 50 pounds of weight multiple times per day
