Lippert Components, Inc Awning - 2nd Shift in Elkhart, Indiana

Individual will have hands on interaction with rolls of awning fabrics. Position is a two person job, an individual will need the capability of working as a functional team/pairing with another individual. Communication and efficiency are key.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions:

  • Unfold the fabric.

  • Grab the top fabric and throw the bottom fabric away from you so that it lays straight.

  • Remove sticker/label and place to the side (completed by the left side person).

  • Slide tube completely through the fabric until it is evenly sticking out both ends.

  • Place one sticker on the tube and one on the fabric towards the left side (completed by the left side person).

  • Fold the remaining labels up between the tube and the fabric towards the left hand side (completed by the left side person).

  • Roll the fabric on the tube until it is completed rolled up.

  • Lift the rolled fabric (Awning Roll) and place a paper fastener on each end and in the center of the roll. (Right side person is responsible for center fastener).

  • Cut the excess rope hanging off of the fabric with hand shears at both ends of the roll.

  • Pick up the Awning Roll and turn 90 degrees and place on the table behind you.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to manually lift and stack products that ranges from 5 pounds to 50 pounds. Must be capable of sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, or walking for extended periods of time. The work element is in a temperature controlled environment. Must be able to work additional hours and up to seven days a week, as needed.

Travel

No travel is required with this position.

Preferred Education and Experience

A high school diploma is sufficient for this position and, past experience in a manufacturing is beneficial.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to pass E-Verify.
