Utilities Technician Description:The Utilities Technician maintains, diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, adjusts, and performs preventativeimaintenance to keep refrigeration, boilers, and water supply operational to ensure continuity of production.i The Utilities Technician assists other maintenance personnel on his/her shift and is responsible for all necessary paperwork and documentation as they relate to the job.Evening/Night Shift Utilities Team Member Responsibilities:Operate ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, and associated equipment using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Make rounds and keep logs of daily operations and events for multiple engine rooms and refrigeration equipmentSystematically troubleshoot and resolve issues with various facility equipment and toolsMaintain and trouble-shoot ammonia refrigeration equipment using the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and Process Safety Management related itemsObtain RETA CARO Certificate and Boiler operator certification within 2 years of hire date and RETA CIRO Certificate within 3 years of hire dateAble to work 8-hour shifts and weekends, and be available for daily or weekly overtime, as necessaryOperate forklifts and work from elevated platformsQualifications:Experience in operation and maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration system (or Freon related industrial refrigeration systems)Strong reading, math, writing, analytical skills requiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalentBasic knowledge of refrigeration controls utilizing computersAble to work in minus 40 degrees to 100 plus degree temperaturesAble to work at heightsThe following is desirable, but we are willing to train:PSM 14 element awareness, previous Haz-Mat experience, RETA certifications, HVAC experience with refrigerants R-22, R-410A, and R-717 are preferredEOE, including Disability/Veteran iFor more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
