AECOM is seeking a Logistics Specialist to provide temporary support (minimum of 10 months) for a variety of logistics tasks such as supply support, configuration management, and data management in support of components, equipment, and/or systems.
Perform inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control in support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations. Assess material and prepare documentation for Demilitarization Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) processing. May assist technicians with equipment installations.
Review drawings. Research databases to determine technical documentation requirements, reliability, maintainability, and availability; life cycle impacts; source issues; and configuration impacts.
Develop, execute, maintain reviews and comments on logistics support plans, policies, procedures and similar data. Recommended improvements to enhance the process.
Support maintenance planning systems, perform maintenance planning tasks.
Demonstrates development and application of new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of business area goals.
Apply knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues. May require knowledge of specialized processes or technical skills.
Vocational/technical certificate or degree (associate), and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Good communication skills; requires operating application software including word-processing (Microsoft Word) and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel). Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) operator’s certification.
Material/Inventory Management Experience – Receiving, Stowing and Shipping in a DOD related environment
Ability to Read and Interpret Drawings, Technical Manuals and Stocking Lists
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation experience
Ability to function in a fast paced environment with little direct supervision in varying environments from climate controlled office spaces to outdoor activities in all types of weather conditions
