Assists the operator in the setup of machines for operation to run product according to customer specification. Assists the operator in troubleshooting and performing minor repair and performing preventative maintenance procedures on Rotary Slotter machine. Assists Maintenance Technician and Operator in troubleshooting and the repair of major machine malfunctions. Assigns and instructs Utility/Helper/Offbearer, as required. Trains Utility/Helper/Offbearer, as required. Performs quality checks as required and takes appropriate corrective action when needed. Maintains records of production, work in progress, as required. Performs other job related duties as assigned or delegated. Basic Qualifications: High School Graduate, GED, Post High School education or prior manufacturing experience.Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to verbally communicate to co-workers and supervisors necessary to perform the essential functions of the above position or any other directed tasks. Ability to stand for standard 8 hour shift or longer. Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently. Ability to bend and twist frequently. Some skill at problem solving and troubleshooting. Working mechanical ability. Some skill at record keeping including paper records and computer data input.
