Description

NTN Driveshaft Inc., a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is currently seeking a qualified Network Administrator for our Columbus Indiana operation. NTN currently has 1800 employees working in our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all of the major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler and most other automotive OEMs.

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide support for Windows based servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings
  • Able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAP’s, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers
  • Create and setup network user accounts, passwords and permissions
  • Monitor network to ensure optimal performance (availability, throughput, latency, utilization)
  • Install and configure computer network equipment
  • Provide network support to end users
  • Evaluate and recommend network security improvements and system upgrades
  • Assist in network design and implementation
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up solutions
  • Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility
  • Develop, define and monitor policies for the use of network resources
  • Create technical support documentation for systems and applications
  • SQL Server and SharePoint administration
  • Manage software licensing and license server
  • Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications
  • Provide recommendations for purchase of IT hardware and other peripheral devices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • College-level degree in a Technical Field
  • Previous experience with Cisco/HP switches and routers preferred
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a technical network support role
  • Working knowledge VMWare vSphere and MS Hyper-V
  • MS Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and File & Print Sharing)
  • Enterprise Network switching (Routing, VLANs, Spanning Tree, LACP, and switch stacking)
  • Familiarity with server hardware management and monitoring tools (configure, upgrade and maintain in house servers)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of network concepts and computing infrastructures
  • Enterprise Wi-Fi Access Point Management
  • Experience with firewalls, ACL’s, Internet VPN remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
  • Email Server management (mailbox management, routing, spam filtering)
  • Veeam Backup, ArcServe Backup and Tape Autoloader
  • Ability to update and deploy Microsoft products, patches, licenses and security updates
  • Enterprise anti-virus software configuration, maintenance and deployment
  • Understanding of Linux O/S
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
  • Utilize helpdesk system to track, document, and prioritize tasks
  • Good listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed driven by a customer-service orientation with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, carry and install computer equipment such as switches, routers, wiring, etc.
  • Duties are performed in both a manufacturing environment and professional office setting
