Surgical Instrument Technician- Sterile Processing 001 - Full-Time, Night - St. Vincent Carmel Hospital - Carmel, IN.
Work Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday NIGHTS 7:00PM to 8:00AM (37.5 hours per week) + Rotating Weekend Call
Preferences/Requirements: CRCST, CIS, CST or equivelant Certification required. Experience as an Instrument Tech required.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to
Inspects, assembles and evaluates all surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure proper sterilization, completeness of set, and to determine need for repair/replacement.
Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to established protocols.
Inspects instruments, equipment and containers to assure cleanliness and proper functioning.
Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems.
Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
What You Will Need
Central Service Tech credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM).
High school diploma or GED required
- Recent CPD experience 2+ years - Prefer CRCST. Applicant must be a quick learner, be able to be on feet for duration of shift, able to lift heavy items (30+lbs) on a daily basis, enjoy doing multiple tasks and good at multitasking, good at prioritization, a team player, be self-directed (see what needs to be done and doing it) and have a positive attitude.
