POSITION DECSRIPTION: Manufacturing Specialist (Equipment and Process based)

COMMON CHARACTERISTICS: A Manufacturing Specialist’s primary duty is to provide direct technical support to operations area as it relates to documentation, equipment procurement, testing, operational excellence, and training. This role works collaboratively with multiple company functions to ensure equipment and associated production systems operate in a safe, and quality-oriented manner. Responsibilities include: providing training and assessment support for equipment operation, set-up, changeover, and troubleshooting, providing recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner, creating and revising GMP as it relates to equipment activities, supporting or own work orders, deviations, change records, corrective actions and audit observations for equipment activities. Specialists, based on scope of audit and individual skill set, will be required to support internal, client led and regulatory audits as a tour guide and/or subject matter expert through direct interaction with auditors.

Senior Manufacturing Specialist (T4-MFO-Manufacturing/Operations Generalist/Multidiscipline)

  • Has advanced and specialized expertise in an analytical/scientific method or operational process, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience

  • Completes assignments and facilitates the work activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area

  • Proposes improvements to processes and methods

  • Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others – but is not a supervisor

  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices

· Competent at risk mitigation for function

· Write and revise SOPs. Batch record review/approver

· Support or own work orders, deviations, and audit observations for equipment activities

TYPICAL MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School/GED with 5+ years experience OR

  • Associate degree with 3+ years experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or manufacturing field of study with 1+ year experience

  • Manufacturing experience required
