What You Will Be Doing

Under general direction, the HVAC Service Technician performs semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks in the operation of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in commercial/industrial sites.

  • Repair and maintain thermostats, air filters, blower fans, belts and bearings.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repairs various makes and models of HVAC equipment. (including: Mitsubishi, AAON, Daikin, Carrier, etc.)

  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of heating and air condition equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.

  • Perform daily work duties associated with the trade with little to no supervision in the field.

  • Maintains accurate and complete invoices, paperwork and other procedures to company standards.

  • Always maintains the highest safety standards while working on the job.

What You Need for this Position

  • 3 years' experience operating, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

  • EPA License

  • Valid Driver's license.

  • Ability to follow blueprints and understand technical instructions.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Solid communication skills.

  • Ability to explain technical information to clients at a level they understand.

  • Be able to comply with safety regulations.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment MVR, criminal background check and have acceptable driving record.

  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment physical.

  • Ability to effectively use a computer, and knowledge of applicable software.

  • Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds

Workweek:

Typical workweek is eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays five (5) days per week with regular weekend work. During peak times and seasonal extreme weather-related events, position may require long hours.
