The Quality Technician’s primary responsibilities will be to help support the release of temporary work instructions (TWI), Safe Launch activities, monitoring and reviewing evidence to support the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), disposition of Quality Discrepancy Reports (QDRs) and support for on-going molding & assembly sample requests. In addition, the Quality Technician’s role will help apply the various aspects of Quality Management and Methods (QMM) and to support the day-to-day activities of the Albion Quality team.
Other Key Duties and Responsibilities:
actively participate in process change (PCR) weekly meetings
monitor and provide status update on dimensional layout and capability studies
support on problem solving activities (8D) for molding, tooling and assembly
monitor molding press and tooling qualification and provide status update to the responsible quality engineer
assist in developing risk assessments needed to support concessions and Material Review Board (MBR) disposition and ensuring required tasks are completed according to plan
Participate in internal audit activities, external audit activities, and key quality initiatives.
Perform quality assurance tasks and assist in A-sample testing as needed
Education & Skills:
High School Diploma
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office, experience in SAP is a plus
Ability to learn new skills and work effectively with a positive attitude in a fast-paced team environment
Prior experience in quality, plastic injection molding or assembly manufacturing are a plus
Additional secondary education and training in science, math and engineering are a plus
