Parker has increased its annual dividends paid to shareholders for 63 consecutive fiscal years, among the top five longest-running dividend-increase records in the SandP 500 index.Position SummaryWork independently and with a team to oversee work process in the casting and melting furnace operation Starting pay $22.00+ with benefits starting within a month; paid vacation in six months and eligible for bonus pay after 12 months.ResponsibilitiesOperate melting furnaces to produce molten brass for die casting process Monitor melting equipment Charge Melter s with prescribed ingot and scrap crass at a rate to maintain bath temperature above critical low limit Read temperatures indication gages and charts to determine proper temperature Treat molten brass bath with prescribed flux and skimming Insure correct material chemistry Operate transfer ladle for moving molten metal from Melter s to holding furnaces at the die casting machines Maintain and operate Melter, read and log metal additions, ingot and returns, fluxing treatment, skimming frequency as noted Must notify Caster of any problems Work form process specifications (use charts, scales, pyrometers, instruments, etc.) Required to keep work station clean and maintain high degree of quality, quantity and safety Ability to give operating instructions Ability to train, instruct and assist trainees through the training period Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to set ups and operations within recognized procedures Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision and assistance Additional Comments: Fumes, dust, oils, outside during hot and cold weather months Extended periods of standing/walking for 8 hours per day Must be able to climb a platform and work at ceiling heights when necessary Must be able to work in fluctuating hot and cold work environment Must be able to occasionally lift and thrust 60 lb. rods in to pot two times on an average 8-hour shift Must ladle off the pot two times an hour with a weight of 30-40 lbs. Must clean chutes thoroughly and frequently May need to chisel off the pot with an air hammer once during an 8-hour shiftQualifications Minimum High School diploma or equivalent Complete certification and be issued a forklift and equipment license Able to operate mobile, mechanical equipment in compliance with OSHA standards Complete certification and be issued a forklift and equipment license Able to reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, and operate equipment Basic computer skills Ability to regularly lift 40 lbs. and occasionally lift to 70 lbs.
